Since the beginning of May the well known storm warning service «Weather Alarm» is also available as an iPhone App. Created by youngculture, the App registered 12,000 downloads already in its first three weeks. The corresponding Android version will enter the market this summer.
The Ex Libris Mobile Shopping App had previously been nominated by the jury as one of 12 selected candidates (out of over 300 projects) for «Master of Swiss Web».
The official Zermatt Matterhorn App has been available in the App Store for all Zermatt fans since January. The popular iPhone app «LookItUp» – with 100,000 downloads and 12,000 daily queries – is now also available for Android. The Android application provides the same attractive functions as on the iPhone: a worldwide, GPS-based nearby search for companies and services, tracing of unknown phone numbers, a result display on an interactive map and a history for the most recent queries. LookItUp for Android also provides you with a phonebook widget for your homescreen. «LookItUp» was concepted by André Horstmann, CTO and Manager Mobile Development at youngculture AG.
